Our trailer s Every journey with a trailer is a journey without a car.
By making "stuff carrying" by bike easy we encourage more cycle journeys.
Frequently our trailer s are the last step for people to stop
depending on their car.
Resources We reduce our impact on the environment by minimizing our
use of resources such as paper and power, and recycling/reusing what we can.
Our suppliers have a commitment to the environment, and by
supporting charities that promote environmental awareness we help educate
people on better ways to live.
Location We are based in a renovated wooden chicken
shed on a working farm. This is incredibly well insulated and has very low
lighting and heating requirements.

Manufacturing top
Most of our trailer s are made by our partners in Taiwan and Poland.
We care about the conditions in which our trailer s are made.
We make custom trailer s ourselves.
Pacific Cycles Most of our trailer s are made in Taiwan by Pacific
Cycles. Taiwan is a democratic country with a social system, Pacific
Cycles, is a small family owned manufacturer dedicated to the high
quality production of unusual bicycles.
Ideal Cycles Some of our line is manufactured by Ideal in Poland.
This allows us to manufacture closer to our main customer base, but still
offer good value for money.
More For a deeper discussion on all the issues around manufacturing

History top
The Beginning The spark that began Carry Freedom
happened in 2001 in Scotland.
Nick Lobnitz despaired at his horrid one wheel trailer,
he felt he could do better, so did.
The City From this moment the City trailer was born,
a year later a prototype emerged,
and a year after that it entered production.
First came the high frame, lastly came its name.
The Y-Frame Carry Freedom collaborated with Bike Box to create
the Y-Frame in mid 2003. Our design finesse simplified the Bike Box
concept to create this tough trailer.
The Future We are currently developing a budget trailer, the
X-Frame, and we continue to promote our Bamboo
trailer plans to the 3rd world.
