Hi, how much weight can the large box carry? Is at least quite as solid as the blue box that can’t be folded?

      Hi Anja,
don’t have a max. load weight for the large folding box. but it will take more than you can carry. it’s really big. Sometimes it makes more sense to use the smaller box, because it is easier to carry. depends it you want to use the box without the trailer. hope his helps. Best Bob

can you lock it in place or can anyone steal it just by lifting if I leave my bike unwatched?

      Hi Alf,
Thanks for your comment. Stealing a box on a trailer that is not screwed down is always possible. We strap them down, but a sharp knife will cut most straps. I guess it’s the same question with panniers on the bike as well. We have a QR box kit in every trailer. The rubber door stops are bolted to the underside of the box, and fit into the 4 holes on the load bed. This prevents the box moving sidewards. Then we tie down with velcro or RokStraps.

Bicycling is such a great way of moving yourself and your stuff, but the stealing aspect is something that spoils the fun. We will look into this problem more in the future. In the meantime, treat the trailer like an expensive bike and watch it like a hawk. Some new locks for bikes have a movement sensor, where an alarm goes off when the bike (or trailer) is moved. This could be the answer in the future.

      Best regards
